SMOK RPM 4 coils are replacement mesh coil heads for compatible SMOK pod systems. Supplied in a pack of 5, they are available in 0.15Ω and 0.6Ω resistances, giving you a choice of higher-powered direct-to-lung vaping or a lower-powered, more restricted draw. Check the compatible pod and kit listed below before ordering.

Each coil uses a mesh heating element and a push-fit design, so you can replace a worn coil while continuing to use an undamaged compatible cartridge. Dual O-rings at the base help seal the coil inside the pod. Choose your preferred resistance before adding to your basket; all five coils in the pack are the selected resistance.

RPM 4 Coil Options and Wattage

These power ranges and best settings are marked on the coil bodies. Check the markings on the coil and packaging you receive, and keep your device within the stated range. The best setting is a reference point; begin lower in the recommended range with a fully primed new coil.

0.15Ω RPM 4 Mesh Coil: Higher-Powered DTL

The 0.15Ω RPM 4 coil operates at 30–60W, with 50W marked as its best setting. It suits a direct-to-lung (DTL) style: an open inhale drawn directly into the lungs. Choose this option if you prefer a higher-powered vape and greater vapour production, with your device's airflow adjusted to suit.

0.6Ω RPM 4 Mesh Coil: Lower-Powered RDL

The 0.6Ω RPM 4 coil operates at 10–30W, with 28W marked as its best setting. It offers a lower power range for restricted direct-to-lung (RDL) vaping, where the inhale feels more controlled. The final draw depends on the device's airflow setting as well as the coil you fit.

Compatible Pods and Kits

Confirmed compatibility:

Compatibility depends on the pod as well as the device. These removable coil heads cannot be installed in pods with built-in coils, such as the Nord 6 Dual Core version.

Check the coil family carefully: the older SMOK RPM 4 device uses RPM or LP2 coils according to its pod. Match your pod's specified coil family rather than choosing by a similar product name.

Choosing E-Liquid for Your RPM 4 Coil

Match your e-liquid to the fitted coil's power range and the device manufacturer's guidance. VG/PG ratio describes the balance of vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol; higher-VG liquids are thicker than more balanced blends.

As practical starting points, higher-VG blends are commonly paired with higher-powered DTL setups, while balanced blends are commonly used at lower power. Check the liquid supplier's suitability guidance before buying, including the nicotine strength. Coil resistance alone does not determine whether a particular e-liquid is suitable.

How to Replace and Prime an RPM 4 Coil

1. Switch off and remove the pod. Change the coil with the reservoir empty to reduce spills.
2. Remove the old coil. Pull it from the pod base and check the cartridge and seals for damage.
3. Fit the replacement. Push the new RPM 4 coil fully into the base until it is securely seated. No threading is required.
4. Refill the pod. Fill through the pod's filling port and close it securely, following the instructions supplied with your pod.
5. Let the cotton saturate. Leave the filled pod standing for several minutes before vaping, following the supplied priming instructions.
6. Set the correct wattage. Begin near the lower end of the coil's stated range and adjust gradually to your preference.

Keep the pod topped up and give the wick time to absorb liquid between puffs. A new coil needs to be saturated before it is fired; filling and immediately vaping can scorch dry cotton.

Can RPM 4 coils replace the coil in a fixed-coil pod?

No. These are removable coil heads for compatible empty cartridges. A pod with a built-in, non-removable coil must be replaced as a complete cartridge.

Is this a mixed pack of both resistances?

No. Each pack contains five coils of the resistance you select: either 0.15Ω or 0.6Ω.

How long does an RPM 4 coil last?

There is no fixed lifespan. Wattage, e-liquid, puff frequency and priming all affect coil wear. Replace the coil when flavour remains poor or burnt after checking the liquid level and settings.

Do I need to replace the pod whenever I change a coil?

No. An undamaged compatible empty cartridge can be reused with a new coil. Replace the cartridge if its body, filling mechanism or seals are damaged.
