In Eco mode, the pod operates at approximately 0.4Ω, with power available up to around 40W. Switching to Boost mode engages the dual-mesh configuration at an effective resistance of approximately 0.2Ω, allowing the VPrime 2 to operate at approximately 40–60W.

This makes the 0.4Ω Dual Mesh cartridge the higher-powered of the two new VPrime 2 pod options and particularly suited to a more open RDL or DTL-style airflow setup.

OXVA VPrime Dual Mesh 0.6Ω Pod – UniTech 3.0

The new 0.6Ω VPrime Dual Mesh Pod also uses OXVA's UniTech 3.0 system but operates at a lower power level than the 0.4Ω version.

UniTech 3.0 Dual Mesh vs Previous VPrime Pods

The main distinction is that the new VPrime Dual Mesh cartridges have been designed to make use of the VPrime 2's two operating modes. In Eco mode, the device can operate a single heating section at the pod's stated resistance, while Boost mode brings the dual-mesh configuration into operation at a lower effective resistance and higher power.

The previous-generation VPrime cartridges remain useful for users who already have compatible VPrime pods or who require resistance options outside the two new Dual Mesh cartridges. When these earlier cartridges are fitted to the VPrime 2, Boost mode is unavailable and the device operates using Eco mode.
