The Argus Z3 delivers much more performance than its entry-level price suggests. The draw feels powerful without producing an excessive amount of vapour, flavour is clear and the adjustable airflow provides a useful amount of control. Its 41.6g body is noticeably light, yet the shaped design and textured grip prevent it from feeling insubstantial.

The reversible 0.7Ω and 1.0Ω Multi-Ohm Cartridge is the standout feature. It lets you change the warmth, airflow and efficiency of the vape without carrying two separate pods. During our testing, the battery normally lasted two days and occasionally reached a third day before requiring a recharge.

Design, Weight and Everyday Comfort

The Argus Z3 is not the smallest pod device we have handled, but at only 41.6g it feels extremely light. It could easily be forgotten in a pocket, while its longer shape makes it comfortable to hold and easier to locate than some miniature pod kits.

The contoured body sits naturally in the hand, and the leather-effect textured section provides noticeably better grip than a completely smooth plastic finish. We also found it remained secure when handled with slightly damp hands.

How Does the Argus Z3 Multi-Ohm Cartridge Work?

The UK TPD kit includes a 2ml Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge containing two usable resistances. Removing the pod, rotating it through 180 degrees and reinstalling it changes the operating mode:

We preferred the 0.7Ω mode when prioritising flavour and a fuller draw. The 1.0Ω setting was useful when we wanted a tighter inhale and better e-liquid efficiency. Neither requires manual wattage adjustment because the Z3 manages its power automatically within its 5–20W output range.

Replacement options include Voopoo Argus Multi-Ohm replacement cartridges and conventional Voopoo Argus replacement pod cartridges. Fixed 0.7Ω and 1.0Ω pods provide the closest experience to the two included modes, while the compatible 0.4Ω option produces a more open vape.

Flavour, Vapour and Airflow Performance

The Argus Z3 produced clear flavour with both the included Multi-Ohm Cartridge and the separate 0.7Ω pod we tested. Vapour production was more substantial than we expected from such a light device, but it remained controlled and suitable for everyday pod vaping.

The side airflow slider offers stepless adjustment rather than fixed positions. Closing it down creates a tighter mouth-to-lung inhale, while opening it provides a looser draw. This adjustment makes a meaningful difference and allows both Multi-Ohm modes to be tailored more precisely.

Vapers wanting very large clouds or high-power direct-to-lung performance should consider a more powerful device. The Z3 is primarily designed for mouth-to-lung and restricted direct-to-lung use.

Argus Z3 Battery Life

The integrated 1100mAh battery was one of the strongest aspects of our test. With our normal usage, the device consistently lasted two days between charges and sometimes continued into a third day.

This should not be treated as a guaranteed runtime. Frequent vaping, long draws and regular use of the 0.7Ω mode will drain the battery more quickly. More moderate use of the 1.0Ω setting should generally provide better endurance.

Four illuminated bars display the remaining charge in 25% stages. Charging takes place through the USB-C port at up to 5V/1A. The TPD package does not include a USB-C cable, so an appropriate cable and compatible 5V power source are required.

Filling and Leakage During Our Test

The top-filling port is easy to access and allowed us to refill without removing the cartridge from the device. After filling a new pod, we recommend allowing at least five minutes for the coil to saturate before vaping.

We did not experience any leaking during more than four weeks of use. The pod and device contacts remained clean throughout normal daily handling. No refillable cartridge can be guaranteed never to leak, however, and results can be affected by filling technique, heat, damaged seals or continued use of a worn pod.

Closing the filling seal completely, keeping the contacts clean and replacing the cartridge when flavour or vapour deteriorates should help maintain reliable performance.

Which E-Liquid Works Best in the Argus Z3?

For the included 0.7Ω and 1.0Ω modes, we recommend balanced 50VG/50PG e-liquids. These are better suited to the cartridge’s smaller wicking ports and lower operating power than thick, high-VG shortfills.

Nic salts are a natural match for this type of mouth-to-lung pod system.
